Jennifer was born and raised in Stockton ,CA. She attended Saint Mary's High School and played four years of Varsity volleyball and Varsity basketball, earning Athlete of the Year honors twice. She was later inducted into the City of Stockton Athletic Hall of Fame. Growing up Jennifer played club volleyball for Delta Valley. She was a two time All-American at Junior Olympics, earning that honor in the 1993 Junior Olympics Open Division and again the following year at the 1994 Junior Olympics Open Division.
After St.Mary's High School, Jen accepted a full scholarship to Washington State University. She played outside hitter and made the all Freshman team in her first season with the Cougars. Washington State University finished 5th in the National rankings that year.
Jen's coaching experience started in 2005 as head JV coach at Saint Francis high school. In four seasons at Saint Francis, Jennifer's teams were league Champs all 4 years. 3 out of those 4 years, her team went undefeated. Most recently Jennifer has coached at Vision and City Beach volleyball clubs winning Junior Olympic medals in open division. Last season, her Payes 16 Black team finished 1st in NCVA and finished in the top 13 in the nation, in the open division at Junior Nationals,
Away from the volleyball court, Jennifer resides in Belmont with her husband Anthony who is a captain for San Mateo fire department, and her two daughters Gabriella and Adrianna. Jen also enjoys cycling,wake surfing, and running.

Born and raised in Portola Valley, Tracie Meskell went to Menlo-Atherton High School and earned league MVP her Junior and Senior years. She was also named to the San Mateo All-County team her senior year. She started playing club volleyball in 7th grade and has played grass volleyball since her freshman year of high school. She went on to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo to study landscape architecture and was one of the founders of their college club volleyball team.
Upon returning to the Bay Area, she has coached for City Beach, Eclipse, and Peninsula Juniors at the 16, 18, and 14 levels. She started coaching at Castilleja High School as the varsity coach in 2003-04 winning the league championship and making it to the first round of the NorCal Tournament. Since then, the team has made it to NorCals every year but one; won the D5 State championship in 2008; and has been the D5 State runner-up twice. She has also coached Castilleja's 6th grade A team and their 7th-8th grade A team.
Tracie is a new mom and looks forward to the challenge of being a parent herself. She also loves to garden, bike, hike, fish, and swim in mountain lakes.

Camille is from Chico, CA. She attended Pleasant Valley High School where she played four years of volleyball. She played for Club Chico for two years. Camille attended College of the Siskiyous in Weed, CA for her first two years of college. Played outside hitter, earning Honorable Mention as a freshman and was awarded All-Conference during her sophomore season.
She was an assistant coach for Weed High School JV and Varsity volleyball teams for one season. She has coached camps and help run tryouts through Pleasant Valley High School over the summer. Camille is currently attending Menlo College as a junior transfer, playing opposite hitter. She is majoring in Sports Management.
Outside of volleyball Camille loves to wake board, shop, and spend time with her family and friends.
12 White
Stephanie was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She attended Hilltop High school and played volleyball, basketball and track & field. She was a three year varsity volleyball player and a two year captain for her 2008 and 2009 squads. During her volleyball career she received Honorable Mentions awards and 2nd Team All League her senior year. In high school Stephanie played as a 5'7 middle blocker, but don't let the height fool you! Stephanie played club volleyball for the brand new, The Bridge Volleyball Club, for three years as an outside and right side hitter. After her years of high school and club volleyball, Stephanie received a scholarship to play volleyball at Menlo College. Her first year at Menlo, the volleyball team went undefeated and won the Cal-Pac Conference making it a 5 year winning streak for the Oaks. Unfortunately, last season the team fell short and ended the Oaks' reputation. Now her third year as a Menlo Oak, Stephanie is a Right Side hitter, eager to win back that title.
Aside from volleyball, Stephanie loves to hang out with family and friends, go to the beach, eat lots of mexican food, shop, listen to music, dance and plan road trips.

Nicole was the was starting setter for Homestead High School in Cupertino where they won back-to-back section championships, finishing 1st in NorCal finals, and runner-up in the Div 1 State Finals. She is currently the starting setter at Foothill College. She most recently coached at Eclipse in 2011 in the 12s age group, and Palo Alto Elite 14s the prior year.
"Volleyball has been a big part of my life. I have been playing for 8 years. I think it would be so much fun showing all the girls what I have learned and start giving back."

Hailey grew up in Woodside and attended Woodside High School. She played volleyball at Woodside for four years, each year receiving all league recognition as outside hitter/libero. During both her junior and senior year her varsity team won PAL League titles and competed in CCS. She is currently attending Foothill College in Los Altos where she plays volleyball as an outside hitter. As a starting outside hitter, Hailey and her team finshed the 2009 season with only four losses and are seeded second in Northern California. She is training for her second season at Foothill with high hopes of making it to the state championships. In fall of 2011, she will transfer out of Foothill to a four year university where she plans to earn her degree in child development.
Hailey played club volleyball for four years two of which were for Payes 15-Black and Payes 14-Black of which her team competed in the USA Volleyball Junior Olympics in Atlanta, GA. Volleyball and working with young athletes are both passions of hers. She is looking forward to coaching this upcoming club season.
When Hailey is not playing volleyball, she is a full time student at Foothill College. She spends most of her free time with her friends and family. She especially loves spending time with her three little nieces and nephews.

Joe is a lifetime resident of the Peninsula, living in Redwood City the past 8 years. He has been married for 17 years to his wife Carolyn and has two children: Kendall and Rylan. He works for the San Jose Fire Department for 23 years and currently works as a fire captain.
He coached volleyball at St Pius School the last three years, with his final year coaching the 8th grade varsity team to the Championship game. He is proud of his seasons at St Pius as well as watching all his players move on and play at the high school level. This will be his third season coaching at NEXXT. Last year he coached the 14 Black team and his first year he coached the 12 White team. He remains in contact with many of the parents and players and still enjoys going to watch their games. Almost all his players are still playing volleyball, some have moved on to power teams and others are playing in High School.
Joe is Impacted certified and Double-Goal certified through the Positive Coaching Alliance. Joe's coaching philosophy is that the best way to get the most out of his players is by focusing on the positive things that players do, catch them doing things right and reward players who work hard. His goal for every player is for each player to make some type of improvement at each practice, even if it is small. During the season Joe focuses on the entire team and that no player will be left behind, "Everyone plays, so everyone is going to get better". Joe's goal for his 14-1 area team this year is to get them ready to play at the high school level and of course to have fun.

Daniel Lloyd Pias was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai'i and graduated from the Kamehameha Schools in 2005. He played tennis in high school for two years and was a part of the team when they won their league championship.
In 2005, Daniel began attending Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont and received his Bachelor's in Music in 2009. He will receive his Master's of Fine Arts in Musical Performance this December. He is a supporter of the NDNU Argonauts, and especially the Women's Volleyball team. This year, Daniel is the Assistant Coach of the women's volleyball team, along with Dave Huan under Head Coach Nicole Annaloro.
In the rare instances when he has spare time, Daniel enjoys playing and winning tennis matches, cooking, watching all of the Real Housewives on Bravo, talking to his family on the phone, and scouring the world over while hunting for GeoCaches with friends. Otherwise, Daniel is usually at a piano or practicing his tap dancing skills in preparation for a musical performance here in the Bay Area.

Shelby was born in Salinas, California, and will be a junior at Menlo College where she will be studying to become an accountant.
This will be Shelby's first year coaching at Nexxt Volleyball. She was a libero for 3 years on the Varsity team at Salinas High School, which included winning the league championship her junior year. Shelby received all league honors her junior and senior years. She played club volleyball for City Beach. At Menlo College. Shelby helped her team win two back to back undefeated Cal Pac Championships.
Volleyball is Shelby's favorite hobby. When she isn’t playing volleyball she loves being outdoors, whether its going on a hike or going to the beach, and listening to music.

Briana Moreno, is a student athlete at Menlo College. She is from Salinas, CA where she attended Alisal High School and played volleyball all four years. She played in the CCS championship on her varsity team during her sophomore year. After high school she attended Hartnell College where she played volleyball for two years, which led to a scholarship to transfer to Menlo to finish her last two years.
Briana is majoring in Business Management and a minor in Accounting. She enjoys spending time with her fiancee, family, and friends. During her free time, she likes to enjoy the sun, go to the beach, and watch movies and everything that has to do with volleyball: playing it, learning about it, and now coaching!

Matt was born and raised in the Bay Area. He went to high school at Menlo-Atherton and received his degree in biology at UC Santa Cruz. Matt started working as a research associate for a biotechnology company shortly after, and in 2003 Matt enrolled himself in chiropractic college. After receiving his degree, he began practicing at Redwood City Chiropractors. Currently, Matt works with many local athletes to get them back into shape and performing at their highest level.
Matt started playing volleyball when he was 16 at local grass and sand volleyball tournaments. He went on to play middle blocker for the Foothill Owls and for the UCSC Slugs. After graduating from UCSC, Matt continued to play NCVA at the AA gold level.
This is Matt's fourth year coaching at Paye's Performance Volleyball Club. In 2007 he guided his 12's team to the Junior Olympics in Minneapolis. Matt has also been the head coach for Notre Dame Belmont JV team and Summit Prep Varsity head coach.
Outside of chiropractic and coaching Matt enjoys mountain and road biking, cooking (and eating!), playing tennis, hiking and hanging out with friends.
Jen Knox grew up in Macungie, Pennsylvania where she played volleyball as a middle blocker for Emmaus High School and Synergy Volleyball Club. During high school she played for the USA Youth National Team in 2000. She made the move to California in 2002 to play as a middle blocker for University of the Pacific. Jen graduated with honors in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of the Pacific. In 2007 she continued her studies to obtain an MBA from the University of the Pacific while playing her final year of volleyball. She currently works for Wetherby Asset Management in San Francisco as an investment associate and is a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Jen has coached for various clubs including Club Stockton's 16-2 (2006), Vision's 12-2 (2007), and Palo Alto Elite's 14-2 (2009). Most recently she has been coaching the La Entrada's tournament team for the past two years. This will be Jen's first season with Nexxt Volleyball and she is very excited to get back into coaching club volleyball. In her spare time she enjoys watching sports, working out, and traveling. She is looking forward to a great season with Nexxt Volleyball!
Herman, a Bay Area transplant since 1997 learned volleyball by attending Sunnyvale's and Menlo Park's adult volleyball classes. In the process learning from two of the Bay Area's best volleyball coaches: Tom Jack and Phil Coyle. After participating in various competitive adult leagues, he pursued the coaching aspect by enrolling in USA Volleyball's Impact and CAP I classes as well as the Gold Medal Squared clinics. Currently, he is finishing his CAP II certification. In 2 of the last 3 years, he has attended USA Volleyball's HP Coaches Clinic in Colorado Springs.
He started coaching by helping out with various boys and girls teams of I Dig VBC and at the same time acted as the club administrator. His first full-time head coaching position was at Menlo-Atherton High School where he guided the JV team to a 2nd place finish in the PAL league. Since 2004, he has been at Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton) in various coaching capacities: Freshman head, Freshman assistant, JV assistant and Varsity assistant. He coached a 12-under team from Eclipse VBC that won the 2006 Area League Regionals. For the last 3 years, he has coached at SF Tremors and guided his 2009 SF Tremors 12-under team to another Area League Regional championship.
With a Chemistry degree from Georgetown University, Herman is a scientist working on the Next Generation Sequencing Systems for a local Bay Area company. An avid bowler prior to being a volleyball enthusisast, he competes on the league level as well as local tournaments.

Matt Piazza
